Connecting Your MT4/MT5 Account

Connecting your MetaTrader account is the core of traders.bio. Here is everything you need to know about the process.
What you need
- •Your MT4 or MT5 account number (provided by your broker).
- •Your investor (read-only) password — NOT your master/trading password.
- •Your broker server name (e.g., "ICMarkets-Demo", "Pepperstone-Live02").
Finding your investor password
Your investor password was sent to you by your broker when you opened the account. If you do not have it, you can usually reset it from your broker's client portal or by contacting your broker's support team. Some brokers call it the "viewer password" or "read-only password".
Adding your account

Go to Dashboard → Accounts
From your dashboard, navigate to the Accounts page using the sidebar.

Click "Add Account"
Click the Add Account button to open the connection form.

Select MT4 or MT5
Choose which platform your account is on. If you are unsure, check with your broker.

Enter your credentials
Fill in your account number, investor password, and select your broker server from the list.

Submit and wait
Click Connect. The system will verify your credentials and begin syncing your data. This usually takes 1-3 minutes.
Important
Never share your master password with anyone, including us. We only need the investor (read-only) password. This password allows reading trade data only — it cannot place, modify, or close trades.
Supported brokers
Traders.bio supports any broker that uses the standard MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 platform. This includes hundreds of brokers worldwide. If your broker uses MT4 or MT5, it will work with traders.bio.
If you are having trouble connecting, make sure your broker server name is correct and your investor password is active. Some brokers disable investor passwords by default — contact your broker to enable it.
